Mackinac Island is a magical location for a wedding or other special event. Seabiscuit Café offers the perfect atmosphere for your gathering or celebration. Our downtown location is extremely convenient for your guests. Reserve a portion of the restaurant or the entire facility.

Special Events Policies

General:	In keeping with our policy of outstanding cuisine and service, our Special Events Coordinator is available to assist you in planning your special day.
Reservations:	Seabiscuit Café requires reservations for all events.
Event Space:	Seabiscuit Café charges a rental fee for all event spaces. Rental fees are based on space selection, date and availability.
Deposit:	A $500.00 deposit is required to guarantee the event space and must be received at the time the booking is confirmed. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or your personal check. Deposit is non refundable upon cancellation. Your deposit will be deducted from your final bill. Minimum in sales required.
Payment:	Seabiscuit Café requires final payment no later than the day of the event.
Guarantees:	We require a guarantee of the number of persons attending all food functions at least 14 days prior to the event. If Seabiscuit Café receives no guarantee, we will consider the number of guests on the event order to be your guarantee. You will be charged for the actual number served or the guarantee, whichever is greater. The $500.00 deposit is applied to the final bill.
Cancellation:	In the event of cancellation, no refund will be given as this date was set aside especially for your event.
Food/Beverages:	In accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, Seabiscuit Café is the only authorized licensee to sell, serve or furnish liquor, beer, wine or food on the premises. This excludes wedding cakes only. No food or beverage of any kind is permitted to be brought onto Seabiscuit premises. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Seabiscuit Café has a standing policy of NO MINORS on the premises after 10PM. Please remember that the drinking age in Michigan is 21 and older.
Menu Choice:	If you are planning to give your guests choices, such as beef or fish for a plated meal, you will need to include this on your RSVP cards. The exact number of entrees must be provided no less than 14 days prior to event. Please discuss various suggestions with the event coordinator.
Limited Liability:	Seabiscuit Café is not responsible for any equipment or materials left unattended in any area of the restaurant. Damages to the premises will be charged accordingly.
Added Charge:	Seabiscuit Café has an 18% added charge for food, beverages, and most services offered. Michigan 6% sales tax applies to all food and beverages and most services offered.
